Who Are You ... Where Are You Going?

Common Questions:  Why do I feel like I am swimming upstream in life?  Why am I frustrated with the present and anxious about the future?  Does life really matter?

True Realities:  There does exist a right and a wrong ... there is a way things are designed to be ... there is a way to be in balance with nature ... you are loved despite your actions ... it is never too late to get on the right path.

Key Points to Consider

  • Everyone has a belief.  If you doubt there is a God, that is your belief ... your religion ... but how can you be absolutely sure?

  • It is clear that there is a right and a wrong in this world ... but who says what is right and what is wrong?  Do laws or people state what is morally right and wrong?  Right and wrong is actually part of God's design.
  • The Bible features eyewitness accounts of Jesus.  These eyewitness accounts were published and accepted within 60 years of his death and resurrection.
  • Accepting that God exists, and that there is a design to everything, makes the world make sense.
  • Getting into a relationship with God puts you in balance with his design.
  • God intended us to make Him the most important thing in life.  Instead, we often make things like power, money, or acceptance the most important things.
  • Sometimes we make the "good things" the most important things.  We place family, work, charity, or even religious service above our relationship with God.
  • Putting God first is His design.  Identity apart from God is inherently unstable, as God is permanent but other things are fleeting.
  • We are all deeply flawed and sometimes hopelessly self concerned.  It is difficult to truly Know, Accept, and Be the self that God designed us to be.  However, God loves us no matter what, He shows us grace day in and day out despite our actions, and He is waiting for us to align to His design.

I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
— C.S. Lewis
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
— 2 Corinthians 4:16
